HOA files a restraining order against resident's donkey for braying "periodically" and decreasing the property value: 'They're after my donkey!'

Who else is craving an emotional support donkey after this?

This homeowner has the unfortunate experience of living in a neighborhood where a utility improvement group ended up assuming the role of an aggressive HOA, the likes of which the residents of this district had not previously seen. After all, they didn't technically have an HOA to begin with, and now, they're dealing with a ton of bureaucratic nonsense from board members who are trying to transform the neighborhood into something it never was. First, they came for a terminally ill resident who wanted to build a deck to spend her final days. These reprehensible wannabe HOA dudes took issue with the size of said deck. Then, one of these members started to build property on another neighbor's land and laughed about getting away with this during group meetings. 

Now, they're coming after this author's emotional support donkey for braying just once a day for a few seconds at a time. Thankfully, the author has the gumption to fight back.

  • Another sign that this guy wasn't causing any actual trouble was the fact that his neighbors seemed to have no issues with his emotional support donkey. In fact, if I were living there, I'd want to pet him daily for some emotional support myself. Nevertheless, the author still found himself swept up in an unnecessary lawsuit because of these unlikeable HOA members. 

  • They started out as a utility improvement district, but have always acted like the usual HOA b. They no longer maintain any utilities, especially since they are dumping way beyond EPA levels of sewage into our lake.
